 이번곡은 외국 힙합곡이네요. 한국에서 아는 미국의 래퍼를 말하라고 하면 무조건 들어가는 "에미넴"의 곡입니다. 요즘친구들은 모를 수 도 있겠네요. 제 개인적으로는 미국에서 가장 위대한 래퍼를 꼽으라고 하면 저는 첫번째가 에미넴 두번째는 비기 세번째는 루페 피아스코 라고 생각합니다 (저의 지극히 개인적인 개인적인 생각입니다.)

에미넴에 대한 소개는 제가 아무리 자세히 하려고 해도 이 영상보다 더 잘 할 자신이 없네요..

 

아마 가사해석을 보고 오신 분들은 생각보다 가사가 좀 잔인해서 많이 놀라실 수 도 있을 것 같아요. 모든 가사를 짚고 넘어가기에는 벌스고 3개고 모든 라인들이 다 좋아서 딱 한 부분만 좀 적어보겠습니다.

해석하면 "지금 너는 그녀가 창 밖으로 떠나는 것을 볼 수 밖에 없어. 왜 "창 유리" 라고 부르는지 알겠군" 이라는 뜻이에요. 여기서 Pane은 '판유리' 라는 뜻이지만 실제 의미로는 같은 발음인 Pain을 의미합니다. 고통이라는 뜻이죠. 창밖으로 떠나가는 그녀 모습이 고통스럽다는 것을 의미하는 것 입니다. 동음이의어를 이용한 펀치라인이네요.

 이하이가 리한나 역할, 이천원의 김효빈이 남자 보컬, 일도가 랩파트를 맡아 새로운 랩가사로 부르는 Love the way you lie입니다. 곡 분위기에 맞게 새로쓴 랩 가사도 좋고 곡의 전반적인 분위기를 세명이 잘 이끌어 가지 않았나 싶어요. 이하이는 정말 목소리가 그냥 흑인이에요.. 본토느낌이 한음만 뱉어도 나오는 것 같아요. 

 

이 곡이 나온지 벌써 10년이 되었네요. 처음 들을때는 영어를 모르다 보니 무슨 뜻인지도 모르게 랩과 노래가 좋아서 들었는데 시간이 지나고 가사를 알고 나니 좀 섬뜩하면서도 새롭게 들리네요. 우리나라에서 비슷한 컨셉의 곡이 나오면 대중들이 어떻게 반응할지가 또 궁금하네요. 랩 가사라 이해하기 좀 어려울 수도 있지만 해석을 보면서 다시 한번 들어보는 건 어떨까 싶네요.
